Message to OPEIU Local 8 members at Compass Housing Alliance on Feb. 18, 2026
We’re at the bargaining table! Our Union Bargaining Team and management met last Thursday and Friday (Feb. 12-13) for our first contract negotiations sessions.
Our Bargaining Team gained some clarity on the new relationship between Lutheran Community Services Northwest (LCSNW) and Compass Housing Alliance (CHA). Management explained that CHA is now a division of LCSNW sharing administrative departments such as Human Resources and Finance, while retaining its President position, program participant services, and own branding. We also discussed employer issued cell phones, laptops, and current training courses to include or update in our contract .
On Feb. 13, we presented our proposals for contract changes, including wage increases. We meet with management again on February 27 and hope to receive their responses to our proposals then.
Our Bargaining Team is working hard to win a fair contract. You can help by reading the updates after our bargaining sessions, keeping your co-workers informed, and responding to your Bargaining Team when we reach out for support.
For questions, please contact your Bargaining Team members or Diane Arnold, your Union Rep, at diane@opeiu8.org.
Management’s Bargaining Team: Hannah Hand, Human Resources Operations Director, LCSNW, Liza Jolley, CHA Human Resources, Beckly Davis, Director of Employee Relations LCSNW, April Aiken, CHA Deputy Director, and Peter Finch, attorney.
