We have met with Management’s Bargaining Team several times over the last few months. Your Union Bargaining Team has been working hard to address the priority issues you and your coworkers have identified.
We’ve made good progress. We reached tentative agreements on several articles of the contract (mostly non-economic). Management continues to propose that we wait until October to discuss any economic items, which include wages, healthcare, retirement, and other employee benefits.
We are presenting a comprehensive counter proposal at our next bargaining session, scheduled for Thursday, July 30. We’re hopeful that management will respond fairly and we can reach an agreement.
Your team is continuing to fight for a fair contract, but your help will be needed. Make sure you stay up to date with our bargaining updates. Keep your coworkers informed and be ready to take action if necessary. We will update you after our next bargaining session.
