NOV. 4, 2025 – On behalf of the Bargaining Committee, we wanted to update you on negotiations for our new union contract. Our bargaining session was a tense one. Management’s Attorney (a highly paid external attorney from Davis, Wright, Tremaine) engaged in a very hostile manner.
We currently await management’s response on our proposals for:
- Updating information to the union though rosters
- Better/clearer job posting structure
- Protections against AI
- Layoff protections
- Probationary period
- Clarification of Just Cause around progressive discipline
- Clarification of and increased union role in decisions impacting staff
And we are working on:
- Protections against ICE accessing employee information
- Much more!
