Retiree Status for OPEIU Local 8 Members

OPEIU Local 8 offers the opportunity for retired members to extend your membership through Retiree Status. This would allow you to attend Membership Assemblies and other Local 8 activities and retain your right to be a voting member. In addition, you’ll retain the $3,500 American Income Life Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance Policy and have access to the UnionPlus Benefits Program. Retiree Status dues is just $5.00 a month. To sign up for OPEIU Local 8 Retiree Status contact [email protected] or 1-800-600-2433 ext. 0

Identifying Your Retirement Plans

Depending on where you work, you may be eligible to participate in the OPEIU Pension and/or Retirement Plan, or may have a separate Retirement Plan through your employer. If you aren’t sure, check your Union Contract or contact your Union Representative.
