WHY SHOULD I COME? DOES THIS MATTER?
You should come because member engagement builds leverage. When workers are organized, informed, and visibly united, it strengthens the union’s bargaining power. It tells management that we know what we want and what we’re willing to do to get it. This directly helps win better wages, benefits, and protections.
So yes, this does matter. We need you and your coworkers to be there. If the employer doesn’t think we care enough to show up and get our priorities straight, they wouldn’t feel any pressure to improve the union contract.
