Sea Mar’s Proposal Is Bad for Us All
We are very disappointed by Sea Mar’s proposal of raising the cost of our healthcare on us. Many of us do not make enough to afford high premiums – And that’s why Sea Mar’s proposal to charge for medical could cost us $300-$1,100 increase per month. We told Sea Mar management that we are NOT interested in paying more.
We need meaningful wage increases
Our wage proposal will fix three things immediately:
- Bring everyone above minimum wage and keep our wages increasing so we don’t fall behind
- Provide annual wage increases to help us be more competitive and recruit and retain staff.
- End the wage compression
So far Sea Mar has proposed a 2% cost of living increase – combined with medical increases, that would be a pay cut for many of us.
