Our Union Bargaining Team has met with management at the bargaining table twice so far on April 17th and April 21st.
We are fighting for the issues that the membership identified as priorities: increased wages, better flexibility in scheduling, and additional time off.
We won a very strong contract 3 years ago, so we don’t have to make up as much ground this year! However, while the base wage was increased to $32/hr in 2023, we know compensation didn’t keep pace with inflation in the following years. We will work to ensure that wages going forward are fair in terms of application and frequency.
Our next bargaining session is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28.
