Help support immigrant workers and families impacted by immigration enforcement
The OPEIU Local 8 members of LCLAA PNW and the RESJ Committee invite you to join us in the We Are Here Walk — a national fundraiser and community movement created to stand in solidarity with immigrant workers and families. We will participate in Tacoma and Union Gap, WA on Sept. 19 (details below).
We know that solidarity has no borders. Washington State is home to thousands of immigrant workers who contribute every day to our food system, healthcare industry, construction trades, and local economy. Despite their contributions, many families continue to face detention, deportation, family separation, and financial hardship.
The We Are Here Walk was created to raise critical funds and community support for immigrant workers and families impacted by immigration enforcement.
Will you join us as we walk for the dignity and respect of immigrant workers and families?
- TACOMA: Join the Local 8 RESJ Committee at Wapato Park (6500 S Sheridan Ave, Tacoma, WA 98408) from 10:30am – 11:30am on Saturday, Sept. 19
- UNION GAP: Join Local 8 and other walkers on Saturday, Sept. 19 walking from Granger to Union Gap. Details to come. Visit the website for more info or click here to register.
