Whether you’re new or have years of steward experience, there’s a lot to gain at this upcoming conference. Strong leaders and stewards are crucial to our success as a union. If you want to step up, there’s a place for you at the table!

AGENDA INCLUDES:

  • Steward Panel – Ask a panel of experienced stewards about navigating daily steward responsibilities, their role in bargaining or organizing in your workplace. 
  • New and Advanced Steward Training including grievance investigations and information requests.
  • Building an Action from the ground up.
  • Union Contract Scavenger Hunt.
  • The Steward’s Role in a Weingarten Meeting – Role play of a Weingarten meeting and a steward’s responsibilities.

The Outreach, Engagement & Visibility (OEV) Committee is asking for members to donate non-perishable food items on Stamp Out Hunger Day. When your letter carrier/local USPS worker stops by to pick up mail, give them your donation(s) and snap a selfie together wearing your Local 8 gear!
